Module hint_reliant 

Detection of fonts that need their TrueType instructions to draw correct contours.

These are often called “tricky” fonts. They are recognized by family name or by the checksums of the cvt, fpgm and prep tables. The lists of names and checksums come from FreeType.

is_hint_reliant

Returns true if the font needs its instructions to draw correct contours.

is_hint_reliant_name 🔒

Returns true if the family name that FreeType reports for the font is on the list.

matches_hint_reliant_id_list 🔒

Checks for fonts that require hinting based on the length and checksum of the cvt, fpgm and prep tables.

matches_hint_reliant_name_list 🔒

Returns true if name contains a family name that FreeType knows to rely on hinting.
