pub struct Julian;
Expand description

The Julian Calendar

The Julian calendar is a solar calendar that was used commonly historically, with twelve months.

This type can be used with Date or DateTime to represent dates in this calendar.

§Era codes

This calendar supports two era codes: "bce", and "ce", corresponding to the BCE/BC and CE/AD eras

§Month codes

This calendar supports 12 solar month codes ("M01" - "M12")

Implementations§

source§

impl Julian

source

pub fn new() -> Self

Construct a new Julian Calendar

source

pub(crate) const fn fixed_from_julian(date: ArithmeticDate<Julian>) -> RataDie

source

fn days_in_year_direct(year: i32) -> u16

Convenience function so we can call days_in_year without needing to construct a full ArithmeticDate

source

fn julian_from_fixed(date: RataDie) -> JulianDateInner

Trait Implementations§

source§

fn days_in_year(&self, date: &Self::DateInner) -> u16

Count the number of days in a given year, specified by providing a date from that year
source§

fn days_in_month(&self, date: &Self::DateInner) -> u8

source§

fn day_of_week(&self, date: &Self::DateInner) -> IsoWeekday

source§

fn day_of_year_info(&self, date: &Self::DateInner) -> DayOfYearInfo

Information of the day of the year
source§

fn debug_name(&self) -> &'static str

Obtain a name for the calendar for debug printing
source§

fn any_calendar_kind(&self) -> Option<AnyCalendarKind>

The AnyCalendarKind corresponding to this calendar, if one exists. Implementors outside of icu::calendar should return None
source§

impl CalendarArithmetic for Julian

§

type YearInfo = ()

In case we plan to cache per-year data, this stores useful computational information for the current year as a field on ArithmeticDate
source§

fn month_days(year: i32, month: u8, _data: ()) -> u8

source§

fn months_for_every_year(_: i32, _data: ()) -> u8

source§

fn is_leap_year(year: i32, _data: ()) -> bool

source§

fn last_month_day_in_year(_year: i32, _data: ()) -> (u8, u8)

source§

fn days_in_provided_year(year: i32, _data: ()) -> u16

Calculate the days in a given year Can be overridden with simpler implementations for solar calendars (typically, 366 in leap, 365 otherwise) Leave this as the default for lunar calendars Read more
